- Description
- As a valued community partner we wanted to invite you to participate in an informational meeting on June 20, 2012 to learn about VA Puget Sound's Health Care System's upcoming contract solicitations that we expect to be released in July of 2012. There are two contract solicitations we expect to released for bid. The first one is related to the VA Puget Sound's goal to expand Homeless Contract Residential Treatment in the South Sound. This initiative allows VA medical centers to contract with community providers for residential housing and support services. The goal of this program is to stabilize homeless Veterans so they can become permanently housed. For the contract residential treatment the informational meeting will cover: o What types of residential treatment and housing programs would qualify o What are the minimum standards necessary for community providers to be approved o What types of Veterans need housing and services o What types of VA support services will be available to community providers that have contracts o The size and scope of the contract as well as how much funding is available o The solicitation and the application process o Introductions to program staff The second contract solicitation is related to our need to provide case management services to Veterans who receive 2012 HUD/VASH vouchers. For this section we will cover o The basics of the HUD/VASH program o What are the basic expectations for HUD/VASH case management o Coordination with the VA o The size and scope of the South Sound solicitation o What are the minimum standards necessary for the community partners to be approved o The solicitation and application process o Introduction to key program staff The meeting will be held on June 20, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in building 148, room 155 at the American Lake campus.
