- Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Title II (Construction Support) Services for Additive Lab Expansion, B331/B332 Renovation at JB MDL, NJ This Notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requiring dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to sole-source with Merrick/Blair Remy (AE firm that has performed the design to 100% and the contract has expired) for construction support, Title II. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 6.301-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency require. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to sole source Title II (Construction Support) Services for Additive Lab Expansion, B331/B332 Renovation to Merrick/Blair Remy. To date, Merrick/Blair Remy has completed 100% of the design and is the designer of record for the Additive Lab Expansion and B331/B332 Renovation Project. The project expands existing facility as well as provides renovations to existing spaces to optimize layout and capability. The requirement will consist of providing professional quality, technical accuracy and complete coordination of a completed design and related services for construction The following services are still required � Take ownership of an existing design at 100% complete. Taking ownership of the existing design includes being professionally liable for the desi � Review shop drawings and submittals prepared by the General Construction Contractor for conformance with the construction contract require � Site visits during construction for meeting attendance, observation of construction work in progress, evaluation of quality control mock-ups and observation of factory acceptance test � Answering of Requests for Information (RFIs) submitted by the General Construction Contra � Technical assistance services that will provide technical support activities during the construction phase. This support includes informal and formal consultation by phone, teleconference or video conferencing during technical meetings and discussions with the government team and the General Construction Contractor's representatives. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated the contract will be made, within approximately thirty (30) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A), for this contract will be posted following the closure of this notice.
